The Uganda kob is a reddish antelope of grassy plains near water, and is on Uganda’s coat of arms. Driberg wrote of the “Uganda cob” among the antelope found everywhere in Lango, and several clans, such as the Jo Arakit, do not eat its flesh or keep its hide.
